Have you tried out any of the side hustles online?

OK, I was so curious about the Online business world, let's just say I went nuts with signing up with training for this and that. Each one was just so exciting because I come from a Bank Audit/Compliance background so this whole world was super exciting and brand new "knowledge/skill". My advice to you if you're thinking of hopping on one, do pace yourself. Read about each of the businesses online and decide what is up your alley. Once you do, focus on ONE thing and work on it. As I learned and read up on it, it is a building block, and as you learned more, you learn these skills that you would never have done before in your life. For example, you get to utilize all social media/email listing etc to get traffic, learning new applications/websites that you need for whatever online business you wanted to pursue. It is a little intimidating (online talking on the videos, teaching, editing etc ) but it never hurts to try out a new skill and see where it takes you. Just know, there's so much more to each of the online businesses that it can feel overwhelming (like I did). I can honestly say that when I tried it out, it made a few $ here and there but it was not my focus at the time. Please note, it is not free at all, but nothing is...

So this year, I've decided that I'll put a bit more focus into my Online businesse (side hustles). I had started this last year by creating an LLC mainly for Online business. You see folk selling it online, I agree it works but getting paid $1K daily within a week or two of starting, I don't know about that...but to each their own. I believe like everything else you need to put some time/focus into it and it will pay you back accordingly. I haven't and will continue to work on that this year. First thing you need to do if you were to hop on it is take a training. I did take a training around this whole Online business called Legendary Marketer which was informative and opened up my eyes to a whole different world. They first introduce you to selling online and the capabilities and opportunities that you can get into that is: teaching a masterclass, Hold an Event, Affiliated marketing and Coaching and Consulting. For the learning piece, I really enjoyed this class, and it started off with $7, and you can just end there or buy the whole packet which I would say cost maybe about the same or cheaper (depending on what college) than a Marketing class at a University (the real life experiences that the owner Dave Sharp used throughout worked well). By the way, I am not even trying to sell this class I am sharing how this class really made me think differently. If you want to try it out and you might have heard of it or not, the training is called Legendary Marketer. I bought the class (packet has 3 levels to choose from and I got the basic which has tons of good info) and I still have the materials (its all online via website), because I knew I'd want to go back and review when I am ready and know that I will a bit more focused.

What I've done or learned after taking the class:

  1. Affiliated Marketing. So first online business I looked into was the Affiliated programs (and there are SOOO MANY). You have to actually apply for it and once you get approved, you're given a link that you use to share on your websites or social media for people to go and buy and you get a % out of that sale. From what I've learned these companies are pretty picky and mostly looking to see if you've got the traffic to sell their product. There are some you signed up and need to get approved and get their link to start promoting their products. However there are other companies

that you actually use and they do have referral links that they provide for you to promote and get rewards i.e. click HERE (photo is of the girls with the Hamilton Beach Bread Maker we bought from AMAZON to make bread, pizza dough etc). I have not signed up with a lot of Affiliates, but I will continue to do so as I see fit with homeschooling and working with my Summer girl which is my priority! Affiliates programs that you need to apply and get approved before using would be:

  • Amazon which pays you up to 10% depending on the product. Check out some of the products I've bought and love HERE

  • Flexoffers

  • Shareasale

  • Rakuten

  • CJ

  • Impact

  • Skimlinks

2. Selling Online through Etsy, Amazon etc (whether it's your product or someone else's or flipping some old products and sell online). There are so many ways that are out there but it's there if you want to look into that

3. I also learned that some of the companies that I use do have referral links that I can share with family and friends and get paid. Here are some companies that I use and have added referral links if you're interested.

  • Cointracker I have this to keep track of my taxes on crypto

  • Coinbase To buy crypto you can sign up with Coinbase and if you use my link, I get $10 BTC and you do as well.

  • AWeber I use this to keep an inventory of who signed up for my blog or businesses. I can also send one email out to everyone through this site, it's pretty neat and there's more you can do with it.

  • TubeBuddy I signed up with this to help with my "attempt" getting into Youtube automation business (that's still to come).

Please note these are just very high level of information (via my experience) that I came across while looking into side hustles. I'm no expert on any of it, because I am still learning... I'm sure other moms are quite good at this but for the newbies or those that has never looked into this online world...a thing or two might spark your interest. Just be careful with who you trust regarding your information. I will have to share on another day who I follow regarding some of things that I am interested in or about information that I trust and have been quite happy with it. On that note...hope you got a little idea of how this online space is. It is definitely something to look into if you want to do a side job (at home) especially for Mama's (I almost said busy Mama's (and Dads) but let's be real...all Mamas/Dads are busy!). Till next time...
